Default 95 ex vtec swap to 96 ex vtec "wiring issues"

hey guys,
I hope I am posting this is the right place...I post an earlier thread...but with some further digging I realize that both engines are F22B1 and VTEC. Please disregard that post, I tried deleting it but could not, sorry about that.
I would like to know what can I do to get this 96 ex to work. There are some differences in the wiring.. and intake manifold/sensors/connectors. On some of the reading I have done , some one said that the 95 is OB1 and the 96 ex is an OBII, is this true? Do I have to change the ECM? I have noticed that the distributor plug is also different in shape and one less wire. I am thinking that the Distributor for the 95 and the 96 does not match. There is a oil pressure sensor(atleast that is what I think it is) just under 95 VTEC solenoid and on the 96 the sensor not there. I also see a four wire plug coming from the drive pulley housing next to the firewall on the 96 and the 95wire harness does not have this plug at all.
I am now stumped..I read that the 94 through 97 is a direct "bolt in"..and the 95 and 96 is an exact "bold in", but obviously there are some differences in the sensors placement/plugs. Could I just use the 96 engine wire harness and get this to work? Have anyone done this swap??? what can I do to get this engine to work? or should I look into rebuilding the 95 ex engine. The 95 is blowing antifreeze out of the exhaust and is a bit noisy..so I figure best way to go a quick swap. any advise/ help is appreciated...thanks
Jay

Default Re: 95 ex vtec swap to 96 ex vtec "wiring issues"

update, I got a 96 ex distributor and used the 96 engine harness. All the plugs and hookups are fine now. I am still worried about possible ecu problems. It looks like a few sensors was reposition on the 96. I still have the question, will the 95 ecu work? or should I switch to a 96 ecu? Thank you guys..I am sure some one must have done this or have some info on this swap...please...
