About a year ago I purchased a used 2000 Honda Civic (identical to the picture at the bottom) and since then I have been getting absolutely no sound out of the driver side speaker (front left). From what I can tell there are no loose connections localized to the speaker housing. Being an EE student I don't have any problems with replacing or fixing electrical components, but car stereos are a foreign area for me.
I would greatly appreciate any ideas or suggestions for helping me resolve these issues Thanks for your time! edit: I forgot to add that the "lock" button on the inside of the car does not work for the driver side door, but works for the rest of them. Maybe the entire door is screwed up? Last edited by nadnerb : 15 Mar 2009 at 06:41 pm. |

Did you get this problem fixed? I have the same symptoms. Door lock on my 1992 Civic long time inoperable. More recently, speaker is dead. I note from diagram that they share a common wiring harness that goes through the door jamb. Rather not tackle that if I don't have to!
