Default Does this 92 Honda Civic CX hatchback with d16z6 seem reliable?

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/1051914716.htmli just test drove it and it was really clean inside and out and im just wondering if the d16z6 engine is a reliable one. He wants to trade for my CRX Si which I could get 2300 for..

I have a '94 CX and personally I'd rather have a CR-X any day. But who knows if the engine is reliable or not, because he doesn't even have a clue how many miles on it. D16Z6's are in general reliable, it's an engine from the '92-'95 Si hatchback and the EX's. I agree that it does look a little suspect, at least with the front bumper and hood that apparently have been replaced. I would check out the front of the car more, specifically the radiator support area, to see if it's bent. And also do a Carfax report on it before buying it. The last thing you should do is trade a perfectly good car for one that will never drive right because of frame damage.

I actually agree with Cleaninc on this one and that will be a first but there is no dash in crx. The front end does look a little off but a lot of honda's do that over time or a very minor hit and for the first guy a wreck has nothing to do with the steering wheel a lot of honda people switch parts out cause they look better or better performance and there interchangeable between honda and acura there almost the same company
