I am looking to buy another Honda. I have narrowed it down to 2 cars: a '99 Accord EX V6 4dr with 89k for $5300 (no wrecks & only 2 owners) or a '99 Civic EX with 132k , one owner, (rear-ended a car in '99) wants $4200. I am replacing a '97 Civic EX. The owner of the Civic has been totally honest. I also have new tires on alloy wheels on my "totalled" Civic, a new $100 battery & a spoiler, that I could equip on the '99 Civic. The owner told me the alignment is off a hair, do I think it might have a little frame damage from the wreck, but otherwise he has maint. records, etc. & has taken care of it.
The owner of the Accord has owned it since 21k & it has been used by his daughter for high school & college. It sounds good, but I haven't seen pics of it. I have run VHRs on both and they check out. I have done a lot of research on a lot of cars & come up w/ these, but I am torn, b/c I own an '01 Accord & a '97 Civic, & both are great. Do '99-'03 Accord EX V6s have many transmission problems? I know it's a lot of info, but I appreciate your help.
