My Tire Pressure Monitoring System light comes on frequently but there is nothing wrong with my tires. Why does this light come on so often? Could it be the weather/temperature change causing the Tire Pressure to fluctuate? It comes on usually after driving for 5 minutes and stays on for about 5 minutes and then turns off again...Any help would be appreciated!

If you are sure the tire psi is correct then are all the tires the same brand, Style? Are they all the same age? If you have one replaced with a new one (same brand, make & style tread) and the other three are 1/2 worn the TM-PS will think tire psi is off do to the outer circumference is different and set it off. I hope this help you out. Good Luck. :-)

The weather does cause TPMS to come on, especially cold weather. It your Pilot parked outside, that could be adding to the problem? You need to check your tire pressure, and make sure they are filled to the recommended PSI. I was having a similar problem with our Odyssey, the TPMS would coming on 5 mins. after it was started, then it would turn off 10-15 mins. later... turned out, a tire was a bit low, and the cold weather was making it lower. If your tire pressure is fine, and you are still under warranty, take it in to get it checked, it could be a bad TPMS sensor. Sorry for the rant, hope this helps!

The light that comes on is it the low tire light or the TPMS light? These are two different things. Both G-man and cbrdgt are right on the money when it comes to the low tire light(looks like horseshoe with exclamation point). If it the TPMS light that indicates some thing is wrong with the system itself not a low tire.

I'm having the same problem. It started out as tire pressure sensor after replacing all 4 tires with the same brand and type as the OEM. All pressures were correct. Now it's the TPMS. Went back to tire dealer, and they checked it out and they "said" it's OK. Taking it to Honda dealer next Sat. they have no open slots today. We're going out of town this weekend. Hoping that it's not going to cause any troubles.

Just looked at the dates of this thread, maybe Honda's been having an issue with this, and really needs to look at it. The first posts are from 2009, 2012's are out, or should be, and my Pilot is an 2011.
