I just got a 1998 Honda Accord Ex Coupe today. It has 187k miles on it, and is in really nice shape. The dealer said it is near perfect and has never had any problems, and then they had their mechanic check it. I have 3 months warranty on it.
Well, the CEL went on like 5 minutes after i drove it off of the lot. It smells like there is burning oil in it, and there is low oil. I'm going to go get the oil changed on monday after school. If the oil is burning, what do i do? |

If you have the warranty, bring it back to the dealer and make them fix it. Find out what the CEL is. If you are buring oil, it is either leaking out or buring out: Leaking is an easy fix. Burning is usually an indication of worn rings or valve seals.
