I saw this car for sale for $1,150. I suddenly got excited because thats pretty cheap. The problem is the milege is 210,000 miles. I don't know how long Hondas run. I do know that they are reliable and cheap to fix. Should I just wait for another car?

thats alot of miles. but it all depends on if the car was maintained. a car that was well maintained will last forever, ask for records of any major work done on the car. if your not to good with cars ask someone more experienced to take a look with you.

depends on how it was maintained there is no answer that we could give in a numerical form.i have had a civic with almost 400,000 miles and it kept going.how many owners has the car had?

I have a 1994 Honda Civic LX sedan which I purchased new. It currently has 130K miles and runs as well as the day I first drove it home. I've done all the scheduled maintenance and will be taking it for the 130K service next week. I recently replaced the radiator, that's really the only unexpected thing that has happened. I'm hoping to keep it until it reaches 200K. Someone in this forum said that Hondas last until doomsday and I agree with that. The Civic you are considering has a lot of miles but if it was maintained properly it's probably good for another 50K. Be sure to have a mechanic do a thorough inspection, run a compression check, etc. before you buy.
