I have a 1995 Accord, 2.2 manual transmission. The fuel pressure has been leaking down over night for a while now making it hard to start in the mornings. It has been getting worse. Monday, it drove to the store then would not start. The fuel pump was not cycling. No blown fuses, no 12V to the pump. Relay passes bench test. The problem is that the #8 leg of the fuel relay is getting +12v, not ground. I cut the wire and supplied ground to the #8 and pump runs. However, the injectors are not cycling. Spark is good. Does the ecu supply +12v to the #8 and then drop it to 0v? Does the same signal activate the injectors? I am thinking that the ecu is shot but i guess it could be the ign switch. Everything else is working. I resoldered and heat shrink sealed the wire I cut. Any help? Where is the fuel cutoff located?
thank you |
