I have a honda civic '92 and would like to know where i can get a new car key for it and how. I lost my other car key so i need to cut a new one. Thanks

Call a locksmith. I needed to have this done for my '93 Honda and it cost me about a hundred dollars, but it was an emergency call, so your cost may be less.

Im assuming you lost your spare key. you can go to ebay and type in your make, model, year and key. they have keys that you can buy and then take them to a local key smith and have them cut it for you based on your spare.

If you have a spare, for them to be able to cut a new one is about 5 dollars. But, if you don't, the locksmith could either charge you a lot to make a new key, or you'll have to take the ignition out, and replace that, which is a good 300 dollar repair.Worst case scenario, 300 dollars, but a lock smith should be able to handle it.

go to a honda dealer they probably do it better but might cost a bit more

From the dealer -- they usually charge about $200 if you need the locks replaced.It will be cheaper to buy another 1992 civic which still has keys. You should actually buy a couple in case this happens again.

if you go to honda dealer they can cut one by the vin# this is the best way because if you get one cut at locksmith your making a copy of a worn key alot of times they dont work. $5-6.00

Go to the dealer. They will need the VIN for the car and proof of ownership [your driver's license and registration]. It might cost $5 or so but it is your best bet.

go to a dealer it'll be cheaper than calling a locksmith but state law in most states requires you providing proof of ownership before they will release cut and programmed keys to your vehicle.
