Default Blown Honda Prelude SE head gasket help

I have a 1995 Honda Prelude SE and I was told i have a blown head gasket. There is no water mixed in with the oil but I do smell antifreeze in the exhaust. Should I replace the engine or fix the head gasket? I was told that the head might need to be machined right?
