Whenever I start my car, a steady stream of oil leaks from the bottom of the vtec solenoid, so im thinking i need to replace the vtec solenoid gasket. If I go to Honda, about how much will it cost to replace it? I have a 1999 Civic Si with about 119,000 miles on it.also, would anyone know how much labor would be, if they did it?

I don't know what you are inquiring about. The solenoid is a part of the starter(an electrical motor). There is no oil in that area-so no gasket. Whatever the cost, you "have ' to fix it. That or walk. The sooner you do it the better. The reason the car leaks is because pressure is going to places it shouldn't go....chances are you need rings(an engine overhaul)

I honestly do not know why stupid people come to honda answer and put the dumbest shit up if you don't know what you are talking about do not answer please you look stupid. He is ( inquiring) about the VTEC solenoid uh I don't know what your inquiring about as I push my geek glasses up on my nose. You can find them as cheap as 8 dollars and if you go to a parts store it's under o-ring and they go for about 13 dollars and as for labor its free if you do it yourself its only 3 bolts.
