http://www.modacar.com/products/Hond...+Kit.htmlWould that be good for a stock Honda Civic, year ranging from 98-02Sorry im new to this. What if i already purchase a civic with a vtec engine, then would i be able to add turbo? Or more work would need to be added, if so, how much. Thank your for your time.

Nothing you will blow your engine if you put a turbo on your stock honda. you will have to rebuild you engine if you want to put a turbo on and then you have to figure out wether you want to have more power or quicker response. if you want more power then youll have to get a bigger turbo but it wont spool quickly so it will kick in at higher rpm's. if you want a more responsive power boost then you should get a smaller turbo and then it will spool at lower rpm's. but remember you dont put turbo kits on stock engines because the compression will be too high and you will blow it.

Everyone is wrong. kits engineered by greddy, hks, an so on are designed to b a true bolt on kit. this meaning u DO NOT have to do any internal mods at all. as long ar u follow the manufacturers recommended boost levels. u can run 8-10psi on a stock motor

Considering that you are referencing honda civics from two different generations(96-00 6th gen, 01-04, 7th gen) with two different sets of engines that makes it more complicated to deal with. Most turbo kits from reputable sources don't require mods for moderate boost. EBay turbo kits do not count as reputable. Many VTEC engines are less receptive to boost as they are higher compression to begin with. This does not mean that they can not be turbocharged, they just can not support higher boost pressures without block mods. Some engines that fit this bill are the b18c1/b18c5(DC2 integra GS-R/Type-R)
