Default How can i fix little problems with the lights and switches in my 94 civic?

hi i just got a 94 civic, its really nice but it has little details that need some work. the power lock switch only works to unlock all four doors, but not to lock'em. all four windows work but kinda lag it. the light in gear shifter, the PRND.... doesnt work. the clock looks all dim and always resets to 1 o'clock when i take the key off. and the light around the knobs of the ac dont light up. when i got it the radio had been stolen, ive been tring to instal a new one. the stereo works fine but it also resets like the clock. what should i do? any suggestions? thanks

it seems the Constant Power to your clock and radio is badyou can run new ones right to the fuse box or battery which ever you likeand the light on the cluster are burnt, put the cluster out and replace them, they come out real easy

I'd check the relays for the locking system and the switches but properly it's a bad relay since no lock locks with any of the two main switches , plus check the fuses in the fuse box both under the hood and in the vehicle and pop each one out clean the leads on them and the relays leads too.On any vehicle that old it's more then likely the vehicle has several bad grounds, and wires internally corroded or faulty. The alternator , starter , battery , engine block ground posts and grounds under the hood connections need to be removed and cleaned with a small wire brush and file etc. Also there will be main wires going into or to the main under the hood fuse box that need to be removed and clean well too.Check under the carpet for other grounds that need cleaning or replacing, also that bulb is easy to replace any good parts store could help you to figure out how it's changed. You may need to supply the dash and radio new grounds too.Clean every plug in connector or connection you find on the sensors etc. Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way if you take your time and go one step at a time with a few basic tools and the wire brushes and file or sandpaper you should notice a huge difference once done but you may need to create some new grounds and use o-ring wire connects with the proper gauge of wire and simply replace these grounds one by one, plus you can use new screws or bolts etc to mount the new grounds too.

Check fuse that feeds constant battery power to clock and radio,Pull the shifter console off and replace the light bulb under it.The power lock only lock the car if there is no key in the ignition.
