I would say every 3,000 miles, just like any other car. But, just to be 100%, you can check your car's manual just to be sure.

Well, if it were me: I would use Mobile 1 synthetic and change it myself every 5,000 miles...change the oil filter every other time I change the oil.It really doesn't matter where you go. The dealer is just as likely to screw something up as private shop. I've worked on cars that have had the iron drain plug over-torqued in an aluminum oil pan (not a good idea).

Read the owners manual for oil change interval.Try changing the oil and filters yourself.Dealers and the Oil change places are rip offs.

changeing oil is easy i would change it every 3,500 miles. and if you r to lazy to do it ur self just take it to so oil chaning place. NEVER THE DEALERSHIP.

there should be a maintenance meter where the trip odometer is, i dont know how it is on the civic but on the ridgeline theres 2 buttons select and resetjust press select untill you find it, also when you need to get some maintenance done a message will come up there when you start your car, check the owners manual, its to much info to typebut some one told me that honda puts a "special" break-in oil in you car when it leaves the factory and it should not be changed until the maintenance minder tells you and yeah go anywhere to have it changed the dealer will screw you on the price though, and will say honda does not recommend following the maintenance mind, but if honda didnt want you to follow it why would they make it put it in the car and the owners manual??

every 3000 miles like every regular car it should cost about 25-60 dollars depending on which brand oil you but. but 30 should do it fine.

No! Not 3000 miles! Honda recommends every 6 months or 5000 miles, whichever comes first. Just go to a Honda Dealership that uses synthetic oil and change it every 5000 miles. Save yourself some money and don't change it every 3000. No need. From your friendly Toyota (formerly Honda) Salesperson
