Look in your owner's manual. It says to check the transmission fluid with the engine OFF. I believe it should be warmed up though. Always check your tranny fluid while your engine is off. If you check your transmission fluid while your car is on, not only can it be dangerous, but your oil level will be difficult to determine by the vibrations from your engine running.Hope this helps!
