like the title said, my 91 honda civic emergency brake light switch is bad.The dash is showing the emergency brake as constantly being on. I took the center console out, and fiddled with the switch, but am not sure how exactly it works. Most switches I have seen include contact being made or interrupted, but there seems to be no obvious sign of one or the other. Moving the brake lever actuates the switch but I'm not exactly sure how contact is made and/or broken. I have wondered if it is the relay coming off the switch or the grounding from the switch, but I can't be more sure than guessing since I don't recognize this type of switch.

Thats also a warning light for low brake fluid. I'd check that before you start screwing around with the cluster.
