Default How many miles can I expect to get on my 1990 Civic Hatchback?

I'm at 195,875 right now. I can't seem to find the maximum number of miles anyone has put on their 90 civic hatchback. I live in New York and the car has had regular maintenance for its entire lifespan. I know there are more variables than that, but what is the highest mileage you think I can expect from the ol' gal? Just curious. Thanks!Yeah, I'd say I put mostly, like maybe 80%, highway miles on her. The highway is less than 2 miles from my front door, and I don't need to go far off the highway for anything in my area (Albany!) Holy Crow, Sami! That's freakin' fantastic. While I probably won't get THAT many miles, I can still dream... lolOh, and if I hadn't mentioned it, it's a 4-speed.

With good service and assuming it never busts a timing belt, I have seen them with well over 300,000. Much less is used mostly in city traffic just because starting the engine more often and running it from a cold start wears the engine. If you bought a new car, started it and only stopped to change the oil it could last 500,000 or more. I would buy a used highway car with 100,000 miles before a city car with 70000.

Well just say 400,000kms or 600,000 kms bec those engines if treated and kept up right are not bad engines for mileage at all.So if you consider the average person puts on about 10 to 15,000 miles per year on any vehicle , you've a few more years of driving yet to go. Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way it's a good idea to change the transmission filter and fluid if its not been done in sometime , plus change the gas filter yrly , also might not be a bad idea to have the timing belt done about now too .
