Default Just bought a used 1995 Honda Accord? Do I drive it in Drive 3 or Drive4?

what's the difference? is one used for the highway or streets? thank you

you should drive it in D4, if your just driving in regular conditions. D3, D2, D1, is for if you want a little more power, like going uphill, or towing something. the rpm will go higher. the lower you put the drive, the higher the rpm. you'll get a little more power, but will wast more gas

i have a 1994 Honda accord and it has the same setup. basically, Drive4 (D4) lets the transmission shift through all four gears whenever necessary. so its useful for highways and extra fuel efficiency. D3 will only shift from 1st to 3rd, no matter what. and so, its more suited for steep grades and slow traffic. sometimes, D3 wastes fuel because the trans. wont shift up if u forgot to put it in D4. hope this helps
