Hey, i was wondering what would win in a race, a 1988 Honda Prelude or 1992 MR2? I own a Honda Prelude, and a MR2 drove past today, and my brother said they are faster, so i said i will ask on yahoo answers, lol. Thanx

If was the MR2 with the 200 HP turbo , it would eat you for lunch...

a lot depends on the power of each car...the MR2 would prob kill the prelude on a race track with lots of turns...the prelude might win a drag race if it was all hopped up...MR2's are best when set up for track use..rear engine ,rear drive, and really good turning ability. They call those the poor mans Ferrari. Id take an MR2 in good condition over an 88 Prelude any day..but it has to be the second gen turbo T-bar...If you try to find a clean 1995 one of those and you'll find that's almost impossible..The newer MRS drives even better but, Im not big on the styling..

power to weight issue here. which model of MR2? 1st gens have a supercharge model that will take off on you. even the 130hp NA version will give a good run. 2nd gens have a turbo version that pushes out 200hp. it will make you will look silly.
