Default hmm, how soon?????????????????

i'm 18 , i 've had my credit card for 7 months now (don't use it too much), and i was able to lease a 09' camry with a co-signer 2 months ago. My credit score is 543 right now, how soon will i get a credit score good enough to lease a car by myself? How much score do i need to lease a japanese car costing no more than $23,000?

i wouldn't even try until i was 650 or better. every time you try and fail it will bring down your credit a few points. how fast you get there is dependent on how well you keep up with the payments you have.

how did your get to only 543??? do you pay your bills on time and in full?? well with whats going on in the market your going to need a very good credit score to lease the car yourself, i leased a 2008 Honda Ridgeline in April, i had a credit score of 737 and the finance director (family friend) recommended that i have my dad as my co signer to get a better deal.also go to optoutprescreen.com fill it out and it will stop those credit card offers in the mail, we own a mortgage company and ive seen this increase scores by as much as 17 pointsalso only use 30% OR LESS of your credit limit!!!!!!
