Evaporate system code is the most difficult to deal with in a car. Many time it only as simple as a loose gas cap after fill up.Every time visit a shop, ask them the code number, and keep record to see if it is recurrences. That will help a lot.

where is the car located? If the car is in the US and you have under 150,000 miles on the car then take the car to a Honda dealer. There is an extended warranty on all emissions components that can cause that Check Engine Light to come on as part of a negotiated settlement with the EPA to avoid a recall back in 1997. the light won't come on for 'no reason'. the light comes on when a system that is monitored under the OBDII (on-board diagnostic system) fails the self diagnostic test. The light means that while the car is running okay the problem may cause excessive emissions.take it to a honda dealer if you still have under 150k miles on it. otherwise, get the code that is stored in the computer and re-post as the code will identify the system that is failing the on board test.hope that helps
