Honda Civic 1.5i VTEC 1996
Hi, I have Honda Civic 1.5i VTEC 1996 model. Been having few problems and wonder if anyone could help me! Went for MOT and the mechanic told me that emission are completly messed up and said could be LAMBDA Sensor or catalytic converter. Now every morning, when I drive to work and on a long run, the temperature guage stays at cold and as soon as I am in traffic it rises to normal position and VTEC light comes on. But when the needle is at cold, VTEC green light does not come on? Can someone please help me. Also i guess, fan belt queeky noise is coming too!!!

Maybe engine not warming up. Start with a new thermostat.
