Not too many vehicles have a block heater installed from the factory, unless it was special ordered, or some like the special "Northland" edition Ford trucks, which are sold in the upper midwest of the USA. I imagine it might also be more common in some parts of Canada and Alaska and such. If you do already have one, from the factory, or installed by a previous owner, they are installed in the frost plugs, mostly along the side of the lower part of the engine, which is known as the "short block". That is to say, the part of the engine other than the cylinder head(s). Although they do also make ones for the frost plugs in the cylinder heads too. There are also other kinds of heaters available, including ones that can be mounted in the lower radiator hose, or one of the heater core hoses, although on some cars these types are difficult to install. There are even "battery blankets" to keep batteries warm, as they work better when they are not too cold. So, basically, look for a cord that plugs into an outlet, and if you find one, see where it goes.
