Default Where can I find a Honda B16B (Type R) engine to put into my 2001 Civic EX?

I live in upstate NY around Albany and am looking for the cheapest way. I heard maybe in Japan they can ship one over. Any idea on what the average cost and probability on finding one of these is? Thanks.

www.hmotorsonline.com/They are the best source for Honda engine swaps, they come with a start-up warranty and a guarantee on all of the sensors. I have never heard any complaints about them, and the shipping prices are pretty good, too.http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...=0&what=search

You cannot swap a B series engine into a 01-05,06-08 Honda Civic. The reason why is that for one, it will not bolt up correctly unless a lot of custom work is done, and it is illegal. Its illegal because you cannot put a older engine into a newer car. No 7th gen civic came from the factory with that engine. Now if you want to do a engine swap, you should look into the K20 which is the RSX engine. I suggest going to honda-tech.com

First off, you will need the K20 motor, NOT the B-series. The B-series is for the 2000 and older Civics, not 2001 and newer. The B16B is going to run about $5,000 with the tranny, plus another $6,000-$10,000 in custom work just to make it run in the 2001+ model years.
