Default Engine Clicking

I have a 99 Honda Civic Ex with 89,000 miles on it. I have noticed a clicking noise coming from the engine while driving. It usually occurs midway through the gears, and as the rpm's increase the noise goes away. Does anyone know what this may be. Im not sure if it has to do with the valves or pistons.
