i just bought a 2005 Honda Civic 1.6 Sport (EP3 model facelifted). I wanted to upgrade the spoiler to the huge Type R spoiler however i do not want the hassle of getting it done proffesionally. Im usually good with DIY things and i think i can handle it myself with some guidance.I can get the part from ebay and painted for around £100.If anyone can give me a step by step guide or a link to another resourse on how to remove the existing spoiler and install the new one i'd be most gratefull. Thanks guys!

You will first have to find out how the original spoiler is attached, most manufacturers attach the spoiler with bolts, you will have to remove the boot lid trim to access the bolts to remove your existing spoiler, then bolt your new one on. If the spoiler has been bonded on, then your only real option is to source a new Type R bootlid with the spoiler already attached.
