Default help h22a or turbocharger?

i currently have a stock d16z6 in my 93 civic si what would be better financially and hp wise putting in a h22a or turbo charging the d16. is putting in an h22 as easy as putting a b series or is there some cutting needed?i thought the 92-96 h22a had obd1?yea i was actually thinking of supercharging it when i found a JR supercharger on ebay for $800 but i was still unsure so i missed it, thanks for the examples of the power capable with one

when u swap u half to remember you car is obd 1 so your best bet is b16 obd1 dont get the obd0 or obd2 because you will half to change everything b16a or b18c1 obd1 will be fine. use the same engine harness in your car because u have the vtec wires alredy so it will just plug right in the the new engine but you can only use the p28 ecu because you dont have a knock sensor and the B18c1/c5 do so u cant use p72/p73 ecu's. if u do no vtec and check engine light all the time lol. H22 is cool but to intense alot of part swaping to get it in. and the d16z6 has alot of miles i bet. in this case by by head gasket or worse rod.

this is a perfect question. i have a 92 ex hatch with the stock d16z6 engine in it with a jackson racing supercharger and the rest are basic mods. your car would be sick for a h22 or even a b16/18. my little civic stomps h22 preludes and gsr integras all day. i can honestly say i only lost to a s2000 once and thats it. if you want the look and pull of a turbo, go with that. but if you want the sleeper look like i love, go supercharged. noone really knows you can do that and will wonder why your car is so damn quick
