My check engine light came on this weekend and Autozone told me it's my speedometer sensor...I'm also starting to hear a screeching noise when I reverse (under the hood). How do I replace the speedometer sensor? I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for something that can be easy. 2000 Honda Civic EX 168,000

the speed sensor is on top of the transmission so looking at the engine it will be to the rear left side under the intake tube just unplug the sensor and 12mm socket take the 2 bolts off and pull it out but civic have a trick sometimes its the ELD AKA. the fuse box and the screech could be a a belt or a engine mount
