Default Alarm System Help (Audiovox Pursuit PRO-9675FT)

Ok here goes.....

I purchased a 1999 Honda Accord Coupe 6 cylinder used and have had starting problems over the past week.... After much thinking and reading I was assuming the worst and didnt think to go back through the paper work that I received with the vehicle... (I dont know the last owner so getting in touch with them is not going to happen).... Anyway as I was reading throught the blurb that was included with the original paperwork there was a booklet on Accord Options for 99... Reading this I found that there was a feature in the alarm system that disables the starting system... Ok so now this sounds a little more logical and has me looking at the alarm system as a possible problem that Im having starting the vehicle....

First of all I can see the alarm horn under the hood but so far I havent even gotten one chirp out of it while pressing the remote buttons... I just assumed that both of the remotes need batteries... But then again is see the indicator lights on the remotes blink when I press any of the remote buttons.. I also noticed that the LED by the door lock blinks from time to time... The installation of the unit looks to be very professional like a dealer installation.

Looking a little further in the previous owners literature I find a booklet on 3 button remote security system with Plug-In shock sensor and starter disable...

Now I read through the manual and somewhat understand it.... Maybe its a use of words (STARTER DISABLE)..... My car will turn over from time to time but will not start..... If I do get it running and then shut it off and try to restart it sometimes it just cranks and cranks... So I played with it a little this afternoon to determine that if I waited about 10 to 15 seconds after the shut off the engine would restart... Somewhat like there is a time delay between starts......

One last thing this is very perplexing is the addition of 2 small micro toggle switches just above the hood release..... For the life of me I cannot figure out what these switches do I have tried them in the on UP and off DOWN position but nothing seems to change.....

SO NOW THAT Im totally lost.... Does anybody have a electronic file that shows the installation of this alarm system.... Im pretty familiar with automotive wiring and should be able to figure out what the hell is going on if I have a diagram or schematic........

Any help will be greatly appreciated.......

Default Re: Alarm System Help (Audiovox Pursuit PRO-9675FT)

I have found the wiring and installation diagrams.... after reading and reading it over and over again I beleive that I may have found the problem.. I will be making an attempt today and see if I can get this corrected and keep this thread informed....

The biggest problem that I have is getting to the original owner of the vehicle and asking him a couple of quick questions related to 2 unmarked toggle switches that are located in the driver side kick panel on the vehicle.
