...to change it? i was looking to see if i could find it and the guy in pepboys told me that it was inside the transmission but i have the chilton book for it and it does not say anything about a filter plz help me out.

i would say it depends on the motor. it may or may not i dont know much about transmissions. but i do know on a honda anything to do with the tranny you pretty much have to take it to a shop unless you know how to take one off take it a part and such. if ur having problems go have it flushed. a tranny shop will take care of everything. heck go to a tranny shop and ask them. ive never even heard of a tranny filter so....

There is a filter,but to replace it you have to take the whole thing apart.It is supposed to last the life of the car,Honda says so.If it needs to be replaced,the transmission would need overhauled already.
