Default Honda civic k&n cold air intake??

my friend installed one in his car and got 5.71 more hp and i was wondering if it put up the mpg or put it down??

Helping your car breathe better always is a good thing. You might notice some slight improvement in mpg but probably nothing huge.

You will def. notice an increase in mpg, your allowing colder air into the engine (colder air has more oxygen) That way you have increased performance, as well as gas mileage. Good choice going with K&N and not a knock-off.

Your mpg will definitely increase. Maybe not by a large amount, but enough to make the intake price worth it. I installed on on my Prelude and I saw a difference of about 3-4 mpg.

one thing i hate about k&n cold air intake that its not legal and you cant smog it because there's no carb numberbut oh well just the intake could always change it back to stock in 5min
