Go to your local auto parts store and buy/borrow an Onboard Diagnostic (OBD 2) scanner. Plug the cable to the port underneath your dashboard and start your engine. Write down the error code, look up the description for the code and repost your question with the error code.http://www.hondacivicrepairs.com/mil...CEL)&id=23When this warning sign comes on (Check Engine Light), it's telling you that your car has detected a problem or malfunction with your car or it's sensors that help your car run efficiently. If you ignore this light by simply turning it off can make matters worst as your car will eventually run sluggish, rough, or no longer start at all. Also, if you attempt to disconnect your battery or use the OBD 2 scanner to clear the check engine light, it will return when you computer detects the problem unresolved.Good luck!
