Default Honda Civic '08: Coupe or Sedan?

Well I plan to purchase one soon, but I'm very stuck on wether I should get the coupe or sedan. It's going to cost the same either way (EX-L model). It's a nice fuel efficient car that's pure-gas (not going for hybrid). What are your opinions on the bodies of the cars? I mean they both seat the same amount of people, just that on the coupe you just have to move the seat forward which isn't too bad.Right now I'm slightly leaning towards the coupe, BUT that changes periodically so that's why I'm not budging! Thanks You guys also want to suggest a color haha

the coupe to me looks sportier. if you dont have an issue with sliding the seat foward then go for it! i love the honda civics, i also think it looks cleaner as a coupe

In all honesty, it is MUCH more convenient to have a sedan. Especially if you are paying the same. It takes away so much unnecessary hassle from loading and unloading groceries, to having to move your front seats EVERY time someone gets in, out, forgot something, or you need to reach something out of your back seat. I don't think in the civic, they look much different either. For example the 98 civic, was a very visible difference in the coupe & sedan, but now the civic has bulked up & I dont think the hassle is worth it.

That depends on what you wanna do & how you live. If you don't need the space that a sedan would give then go with a coupe, if not, the sedan.

I have a coupe and I wish I would have bought a sedan. Its nice if you only have the driver and 1 passenger but its really not made to fit normal sized people in the backseat. Also the seats in mine always come off the track or get stuck from sliding back and forth all the time. Besides that, its the best car. It never breaks down and gets great gas mileage (I'm sure you're aware). If I were you, I would go for the sedan. Good luck!Mine is black and I won't buy another black car. Every little scratch shows up and you can really see the dirt plus its really hot in the summer even with air conditioning. It looks cool when its new but it doesn't last long. I really like white. My next Honda will be white.

"I mean they both seat the same amount of people, just that on the coupe you just have to move the seat forward which isn't too bad."Have you actually been in the back-seat of a 08 Honda Civic Coupe? Not much room!I bought my civic last year (07) and wanted the coupe, but when i sat in the back i decided the sedan made more sense.*Unless you don't have kids, or people that need to sit in the back*

It depends if a lot of people ride with you all the time get the sedan and if you ride alone get a coupe whatever fits you. I like the coupe personally.

i think the coupe looks a lot better and actually handles a bit better [test drove both Civic EX coupe and sedan] the sedan is a bit more convenient but weighs a bit more so actually you get a little less MPG. The coupe looks AMAZING in a darker blue color not exactly sure on the name of the dark honda blue, but the sedan looks wayy better in either black or white, not sure why but it does. As it really is though... its in your hands which would better suit your needs. If you are constantly having to load and unload people/cargo I would recommend the sedan, but if that is not the case then I heavily suggest the coupe!

having had three sedans...im thinking from having a person in the backseat i would never have a two door car..too much hassle..and for resell purposes the four door is going to bring a much higher price...and the sedan is still just sporty enough..they are nice cars..and the manuals do get better gas mileage ..i dont care what honda says..lol..we have owned an 03 an 06 and just got an 08
