that sounds a little pricey to me, but not too bad, depending on the condition. go to kbb.com and load the information and see what that value is.

Too pricey, ask lower. 3200 and you can buyer a newer model maybe a 95 or 96 prelude.

why does everyone always expect a miracle deal on an old car? 140k is nothing for a honda of that year. 3200 is about right if its a SI with an h23 motor in good shape, and a little high for a base f22. offer 3k and see what happens.

Kbb gives you over price on what is real the black book is what the dealers use. But $3200 is too much, ask $2500 max maybe 2800 depending that the body is fine and the motor also.

For $3200 for could buy an AWD DSM with 2 spare drive trains. I would think about other cars before you spend the money, unless you have your heart set on this one, but it is really high for the year/mileage

is it a 4 wheel steering model, in which case thats a killer deal... My 88 SI is gonna sell for that amount (has less miles on it though) honda motor... no matter the age still good with very simple upkeep can easily reach 300K milesI guess its all about #1 your opinions on the car #2 the overall condition of the car/motor, #3 the model itself

Wow, some of these people have no concept of value. With most of america bitching about gas prices, basically any Honda nowadays is worth more than you think. $3200 is a decent price considering the mileage(140k in 17 years is damn good), and as long as the body is in great shape(almost no rust), if it doesn't have the f22 SOHC engine, has the 5 speed, and if it's mechanically fine with all the maintenance done(valve adjustments, timing belt). You might want to step it up, and get another year since that body style runs from 92-96, and the 96 has the better dash, center console, has OBD2 and is overall just much more reliable as it has 4 years of minor tweaks here and there compared to the 92. As for the guy who mentioned DSMs.....old school mitsubishis are absolutely horrible for reliability. This car if maintained right will last you 250k+ miles and still have plenty of go. I've had mine for about 3 years, put on 50k miles(just hit 180k) and the only non-maintenance thing i've had to do has been the ignition switch and a new oil pan. Also, price-wise these cars wont really depreciate any more in value.
