The piece only? Labour? Thx!I was told by my mechanic that it's going to cost close to 1000$ is this true?Which is it? One says 20$ and someone else says don't bother it's too expensive....hello?

The gasket will run around 10 to 20 dollars. The labor will run around 350 dollars.

Don't bother buying one, it will cost more than what your car is worth.

How about getting the gasket 30-40 bucks for a GOOD ONE! Felpro or OEM.Get some tools, a handbook and do it your self.The best thing about this? Never have to worry about a mechanic assrppng you again.Seriously is not that difficult.. Especially in the D series motors or B, or K or H.. V-tech or non..

If you like you car and the engine has high mileage,you are better off spending another $500 and get a useJDM motor that's under 40,000 miles. Well worth it.I had a 93 legend with a BHG. Shop wants $2,100 for parts and labor(parts was only $55). I went to ebay and bought a motor from Japan with 35,000(has paper) for $800. Shop charge to install $1,156.69. A total of $1,956.69. I saved money by doing it this way. It was well worth it.
