Hi,
I have an Accord 2007 SE (2.4). I would like to collect data from my car using its data link. Also, does anyone what is needed to actually read the data? I have been looking at this "Elmscan 5 USB" (OBD2 Scan Tool - USB CAN Scanner: check engine). Does anyone how to read its output from an Apple MacBook? Any help appreciated. Best, G. |

It turns out I have found it myself.
It is on the driver's side, close to the fuse box. As for the software, it seems that there is python code on the web that is able to read input from the computer serial/usb port. Since python runs on top of Windows, Unix/Linux, Max OS X, this should do the trick. (ScanTool.net - Software - Utilities) If there is anybody out there interested in these hacks, I would like to hear your experiences. Best, G. |
