My car has stopped blowing cold air through the A/C. I have had the car since 2000 and i have never recharged it so i think it just needs a recharge but i want to make sure i have the right refrigerant

It is R134a and should have a sticker under the hood stating that. Most cars were switched from R-12 to R134a in '93.Try some of the large recharge cans with the seal additive. They also have a pressure guage on the included hose to be sure you do not over pressure. I had the same issue on my 94 Accord and used one full can without raising the pressure from 35 PSI (low side, large pipe). It is cooling better but can use another can probably.
