Default Can I assue of this mechanic guy

hi, I went to a private mechanic to do the timing belt change for my 95 accord ex two days ago, after done, I found my engine was making a lot of noise, I called him he said nothing wrong, now today when I went to tireman to do an oil change, they told me the engine oil dipstick and the engine oil dipstick tube are all gone, the staff there told me it is highly likely that the private mechanic forgot to put them back since changing timing belt you have to remove them first, but that guy denied he made such mistake.

I gave a follow up here, that private mechanic called me today and offered to drive here to check my car this Sunday morning, but he kept denying he made a mistake, he told me that the dipstick and the tube were not positioned near the timing belt, he didn't need to remove those to change the timing belt, he told me the dipstick was located in the middle of front(that is bullshit, I know where the engine oil dipstick located since I check engine oil frequently). He also told me that if I want to accuse of him, let him know and he would find a lawyer, he wouldn't touch my car anymore.

I searched the timing belt repair online, every time I found it is said the mechanic need to remove the missing part first to replace the timing belt. I already took the photo of my car condition.

So should I let him go? As someone said, do you think I would get all my lost back considering so far I said.
