Default 1986 Honda Accord Brake Lights staying on with car off keys not in the ignition?

I cannot find the brake pedal switch, I tried unplugging the light bulb it won't budge, I tried checking the fuses light stays on. Car is dead now. (after a jump because it did this during the day today and I hadnt noticed as I was at work),

brake pedal switch is up along the brake pedal....follow the steel shaft from the brake pedal upwards and you should see a push button switch along there usually along the backside of the pedal. another problem with these cars were water leaking onto the fuse panel. if you want to save your battery from dying, unplug the fuse (saying brake lights) or the brake switch. It's probably that you may have just kicked the switch with your foot at some time and a simple adjustment of the switch is all youll need. Good luck.

Get down on your knees and put your hand on the brake pedal, now push it down and look up at the top of the pedal and you will see the switch .You might have hit it with your foot and it needs to be pluged back in.Make sure your pedal is coming all the way upso theswitch is being push all the in .
