The easy way to remember Honda/Acura tranny swaps is that any of the same series motors i.e. D-series, B-series, H-series are compatible ONLY with ones from the same family and MOST of the time may work in different OBD years. Like a D16y8 tranny from a 96-00 Civic EX will work with a D16Z6 motor, but the sensors will need to be swapped, but it will NOT work on a 99-00 Civic SI with a B16A
