Honda has Number 1 reliability.Gas mileage is great.Fun to drive. Handles great. Almost feels like a Go-Kart when you want it to.Practical and lots of room. Even for tall people.

The gas mileage isn't anything to write home about. You get same with manual VW Jetta or New Beetle, but nobody boasts about that. Marketing FTW!Yeah, so Honda has fairly good quality, but these cars are so bland and characterless, I can't even be bothered to dislike them.

no-one boasts about the VW because up until a few years ago almost all VW were P.O.S. yes honda has good reliability and the Fit does get good gas mileage. all in all it is a good car. but dont just limit yourself to honda because of what everyone says about them being so reliable. i have owned 3 hondas and have had problems with all of them. if your looking at small midsized cars that get great mph also look into the nissan versa. i am a honda fan myself but when it comes to cars do homework on a few and compare

VW's are junk - pieces fall off the car due to shoddy workmanship and designHonda Fit: very nice car, drove a friends 08 Sport model, amazing room in a small package.Hard to compare MPG now to older cars, they reworked the calculation to be even more conservative. Though rated at 36mpg, my friends routinely get 43 mpg in our rural setting.Consumer Reports rated the Fit tops in cost per mpg for new cars.
