Default Honda Dealership is being a pain, i need help to understand!! Please!!?

So i just got a new 08 honda fit sport on June 25 2008. Well on thur 7/3/08 a guy from the dealership tried to get in contact with me. Well i was busy and couldnt talk with him, so in Sunday he tried again and was telling me that the bank approves me, but not the amount to be financed. So they said that i have 3 options...1)give them 3 or 4 thousand more dol(which i def dont have!!!) 2)geta co signer (no one will!!) or 3) give back the car, and get my old one back...well with my old one they whole saled it out the next day...they had 21 days according to the contract to cancel the sale...but i have no idea why they are doing this...my old car i still owed 2900 on it and it got traded in for 2500 400 more dol were added on. can some one please explain to me, i dont feel like talking to the guy who keeps calling me b/c hes soo rude and if they take my car, they are going to have the worse end of the stick b/c i drive alot for work, and i almost have 1000 mi on it, and me very unhappy!

Wow, you can either get a co-signer or ask them if they can roll the additional down payment into your loan and thereby extend your finance term.

i don't understand why they would have let you drive the car away without all of the financing figured out. i'd go right to a manager and try to figure it out. if that didn't help i'd find myself a lawyer. i've never seen a car contract where they can take your car back after 21 days, either.

They are trying to screw you.Now that you don't have the old car, they want to take away the new car, and you will be desperate for ANY CAR / ANY DEAL.Try to make then keep the first deal.===Now you know what dealers do. So next time separate 3 parts of the transaction(1) resell your car privately - don't trade it in(2) go to a bank / credit union and secure a loan(3) go buy a car Good Luck...

I have never heard of a dealer giving you a car BEFORE they have loan approval. Are you sure you didn't miss something in the tranasction that you didn't understand that now has put you in this position?Read you contract. What does it say?

dont let them get you here is what you can do. when you drove off the lot they gave you a set price of how much the car payment would be each month. once that contract is signed it nust be honored by you and the dealership they cant con anym more money out of you. you either tell them that is how it is or you can contact the better business bureau on them or you can give them the car back and get any money or car you gave them. but like i said once that contract is signed its a done deal for them. watch your statements and payments and make sure they arent adding in any more money without your consent.

the contract you signed is based on your approval by the loan co...no loan no contract...so you are driving a car they own...keep driving until they give u your car back or a better one or loan you the money themselves..

Since your car was sold at a wholesaled rate which means they received.A small portion of what the car was worth being the car dealership. Was anxious to make some money, although they didn't recieve what they could have.Have they waited and now they are coming after you for the difference.Just tell them you did have a potential buyer who has renigged.Aftter being informed the car was sold, your client said your car must have been in an excellent condition.Being it sold so fast, you should say"my old car was in good condition".I just felt it was time for a change instead of driving the same car everyday. The Honda dealership was trying to make a quota and now they are pursueing me because of its lost.I'm going to legal aid and I will see you in court.

I never heard of this, most dealers make sure you are apporve before they give you any car, in which case if you werent approve or the credit took a while it should of taken that long for hit to call you an tell you that you where approve but not for the full amount, it insnt your fault that seems to be there error. And Dealers are closed Sundays why would they contact you on a Sunday this seems fishy. I would maybe call or research the yellow pages and find a lawyer for advice theres places where you can ask for help and its free. Best of luck with you.
