Default Trouble with 97 Honda Civic

I have a standard transmission 97 honda civic. The emergency break light turns whenever my RPM goes above 2.5.. no matter what gear. Any ideas what it might be? Transmission??

As far as I know, there is nothing connecting your parking brake to the transmission, physically or electronicly. I know the parking brake light comes on as a warning of possible brake failure. Since the light comes on at the same engine RPM, and not speed, I bet it would have something to do with the vaccum from the engine. Maybe the power booster isn't getting enough vaccum from the engine due to a bad connection or leaky hose. Maybe the brake resivoir is getting low and only triggers the sensor in the resivoir sometimes?
I would first double check the brake fluid level, then trace the vaccum line from the booster all the way down to the engine, checking for wear.
Good luck.
