I was tempted by the low Klm Cressida but just bought the high milage 94 Accord because I loved my '76 - 2 speed (earlier motor had webber carby - That Accord just recently died due to auto and old mum couldnt handle the wheel). I normally drive a 96 4x Impreza 2L. The Accord is 270K - now with all new t/belts and all etc - full secure service by my trusted mech ....
My Questions are: 1) motor is top end noisy when cold but less so later - thats understandable due to age but ... what is the usual suspect in normal use, on these engines? Tappets checked ok. Oil is good, part synth.
(2) can I make the steering centre response tighter around town? Joints, rack, etc (Im used to the Suby). (3) if you are interested, i read all the stuff on driver's windows slowing to stop half way up, and squirted my spectale cleaner fluid down by the switch with lots of cleansing action (ignition off). Ok, next step pull off the door panel, if thats not working.>>> Appreciate any comments. Thanks muchly from Brisbane where it doesnt get cold. Apologies for my L plates here. Rus.
