It may be shorting through your flux capacitor... check that there are no bare spots of exposed wire...

you know for certain that the hot wire to the bulb that goes on when you open your door also is now touching the wire that goes to the trunk, find them, separate them, rev on. You might need a set of prints or wiring diagram. Do you know where to find it. Alldata.com
