Default 2008 civic ex. questions?.?

i bougt an civic ex and i think i might have some problems...1. gas mileage too low... if u own recent civic how many miles can you go on a full tank... i expected at least 25 miles per gallon ... which is little lower than the expected city driving..ps. I go on freeway more than local and still get bad mileagle... my full tank = 260miles2. brake problemm... when theres a hill or slopes, whenever i press on the brake it seems like theres is somehitng.. like a rock blocking me from pressing it... it just feels weird as if theres some metal preventing me from pressing on the brake./.has anyone experienced something similar? or is my car just weird./

1. I own an 08 Civic LX, on a full tank i get about 375 miles - 420 miles. So your talking at least 32mpg or so either way. During pretty much all city driving, which i did once to test out gas mileage, i think i got about 325 miles on a tank. if your only getting 260 miles on a tank you might wanna take it back, something could be wrong. Unless you accelerate rather quickly or drive over 80 on the freeway, gas mileage shouldn't be that bad. 2) Never had a brake problem, might wanna go in and get that checked out. I've never felt anything unusual when i press the brake. Either way, get your car back to the dealer soon, tell them whats going on and get it checked out. The gas mileage your getting should definitely not be that low though.

i own an 08 honda civic si and i get around 350 to 400 miles per tank. so check with the dealer you brought the car from. second, the braking problem its probably because your brakes are overheating quickly when going down a slope or hill don't press on the break initially to slow down if you have an automatic down shift from D to D3 and then press the brake. if you have a manual then down shift and release the clutch slowly.
