I use the air conditioner or when the weather outside is really hot.It always does this. Can anyone help?Yes it overheats that's why it shuts down.Yes it overheats that's why it shuts down.Yes it overheats that's why it shuts down.

I know what the problem is your radiator isn't cooling your engine enough thats cause somewhere it says made in japan on it my suggestion is to sell your honda and buy a quality car made right here in America

FIRST IS IT OVER HEATING??SOME HONDA'S HAVE NO POWER WHEN THE FUEL FILTER IS HALF PLUGGED UP SO THAT IS THE FIRST TO DOTHE NEXT IS TO CHANGE THE OIL AND FILTER AS IT WILL NOT RUN RIGHT WHEN IT IS THIN OILNEXT IS WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING YOU CAN SPRAY SOME GUM OUT ON THE INTAKE AS IT WILL LEAK AND MAKE IT DIE WHEN IT IS GETTING AIR WHERE IT IS NOT NEEDED THERE AND LOSE POWER

My 95 Accord does the same. Once the weather gets above 85 and I have the AC running, if I come to a stop it wants to shut down. I haven't been able to take it to a mechanic yet, but someone told me it was an idling problem. Hopefully, someone else will come on with a better answer than this.

I would probably say that its your thermostat. Every car has a thermostat, some people think its safe to run ur car without it, but honestly its not. Umm...and ur car shutting down could be because when u use ur air condition, the a/c compression is turning with the engine. So its using up so much juice in your battery to run the a/c as well. My car doesn't shut down but it loses power in acceleration when i have the a/c on. If not the power of the battery and it being really hot outside it could be that the flow in your cooling system isn't flowing correctly. You probably haven't done a flush or Radiator change since 1988 so you might want to do a flush then if the problem still persists then you'd want to get a new radiator, but I believe my best bet would be a flush that something its clogged in the cooling system. REMEMBER: NEVER OPEN UR RADIATOR CAP WHEN UR ENGINE IS HOT!! pressure build up inside will shoot out boiling liquid.

Seems to be that most likely your Aux (a/c) fan is not working correctly or not at all. Put the a/c on open the hood and see if both fans are on, if not check the fuses, most likely a 30 amp is blown
