i have a 93 honda del sol and recently is being heat up a friend which is a mecanic says is the thermostat now i check under the radiator and there is nothing there . i wonder to know where is located on the 93 del sol d16z6 engines?

Follow the top hose on the radiator to where it meets the engine. You should see two bolts holding onto a piece of metal that resembles an egg. Your thermostat is in there.When replacing it, be sure to completely clean the surface of the thermostat housing (both, where the hose connects to the housing, and where the housing meets the engine block) Be sure to use hondabond to make a new seal on the housing and the block.Good luck.

I reused the old gasket (after inspecting it) and didn't have any leaks or issues. Hondabond is bot always necessary. Besides, a new gasket is like 5 or 6 bucks.
