so im leaning towards the civic, but i know it has a higher theft rate and i will be in the city, so the low mpg is good for me, as well as the small size....im sure that it will not be brand new, as i will not be purchasing it until december/january and ill be fresh out of college...so what car and what year....looking to spend under 10k

You can't go wrong with either. I think a Corolla has a slightly lower theft rate if that's an issue and also gets better gas mileage. The Civic is a little sportier and fun to drive. I'd go pre-2006 on the civic - the new ones are so funny looking. As far as the corolla, new gen came out in 2009 and the previous generation came out in 2003. Frankly, I'd go with whatever I find first that suits my needs, is a good price, and in good condition.

depends on what you wanna doyou wanna buy a tuner car? get the civic si manual transmission and work on the k20 motorif you just want a commuter a/b car, you can get a civic too or if you value spacious rides then get a corollathe corolla xrs are pretty fast from what i hear

both suck. get a ford f-350 with the powerstroke diesel or a dodge ram 3500 with the cummins turbo diesel

Civic has better resale value then Corolla's
