I'll bet the Civic would fit your budget better given you are in college.Less expensive insuranceBetter on gasLess taxesCheaper payments Good resale valueCheaper to maintainYour mom must be proud of you if she's willing to co-sign. That takes a lot of trust in this day and age!!! Have fun with your Civic (hopefully) and buy an Accura when you have established your own credit. Keep it simple at first and don't---I repeat, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT MISSING OR BEING LATE ON A PAYMENT!!!!!! That will ruin your chances of establishing good credit for years!!!I know you can do it!!!Woody

Take some responsibility for your actions. If you do not have enough credit to buy a new car, then you should not get the car. Believe me, the sales people Want to sell you the car. If they refuse to sell you the car, then that means you cannot afford to get one based on their experience. So you go to college with a car. You are the minorities and everyone wants bother you, ask to drive them for this and that... I know how it works. You won't get much study done. And because of the added expense, you would be required to get a job and work many hours on top of your overloaded class work.I see hundred reasons as why you should NOT get a car, and not a single reason as why you would need a car. The word used here is "need" NOT "Want". Based on what I can see, you do not need a car. You want a car.

always a good choice with honda or toyota. tell her that car is going to last you forever 200,000 miles as these new cars last that long. you might need a new cars when you start a family something bigger or a sedan. but you can get a used car if you like too because you are a college student and the guy above me is correct about you wanting a car and not needing it.
